Jeff Gross dipped under the chip average earlier today but is now the first player over the 3,000,000 chip mark with seven players remaining.

Vinny Pahuja called that the action would pick up as we moved into Level 27 but we’re sure he was hoping that that action would fall his way, something that hasn’t happened over the first fifteen minutes of the level.

The first small loss came in a hand with Jeff Gross as Vinny would get raised on a board of after leading out for 135,000.

Gross would make it 300,000 and Pahuja would take a few moments to think before laying it down to the big stack.

That hand would move Gross close to the 3,000,000 chip mark and Vinny would still be well stacked until the very next hand, when Renata Colache moved all-in for her final 500,000 chips only to get snap called by Vinny on the button with Renata saying, “At least I’m live.” as she turned over .

It was a clear attempt at a blinds and antes steal but she’d get much more than that as her “live”cards would best Vinny’s on a board of for a full double up.

It would be a tough had to swallow as it would knock Vinny under the chip average for the first time today, but it would give Renata a second chance at life here in the BPPS 500 as she’s now up and over the 1,000,000 chip mark.
